Vern Chong

Vern joined Alcentra in May 2021 as a member of the Private Credit Portfolio team. Vern is responsible for managing existing portfolio investments and monitoring fund level performance. In addition, Vern leads investment valuations and portfolio analyses within the function.

Prior to joining Alcentra, Vern was an Associate at Ares Management, focussing on credit analysis and portfolio management in the European Direct Lending team. Vern also spent 5 years at Deloitte where he was an Assistant Manager in the Banking & Capital Markets team.

Vern holds a BSc. Economics degree from the University of Warwick. Vern is a CFA® Charterholder and a Chartered Accountant.
