Roger Lawrence
Managing Director, Head of Legal (Special Situations and Liquid Credit)
Roger joined Alcentra in October 2019 as the in-house legal counsel to the Special Situations team. In his current role he is responsible for all legal matters across the Special Situations and Liquid Credit Strategies.
Before joining Alcentra, Roger worked at Freshfields from 2006 to 2014, and then at Herbert Smith Freehills, where he advised lenders, debtors, investors and insolvency practitioners in relation to cross border restructurings, business turnarounds and insolvency.
Roger studied modern languages at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford, and completed his legal studies at BPP law school in London.
