Roger Lawrence

Roger is the in-house counsel to the special situations team and is responsible for advising on all legal aspects of the team’s investments. Before joining Alcentra in October 2019, Roger worked in private practice first at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP from 2006 and then at Herbert Smith Freehills between 2014 to 2019 where he advised lenders, debtors, investors and insolvency practitioners in relation to cross border restructurings, business turnarounds and insolvency.

Roger studied modern languages at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford and completed his legal studies at BPP law school in London.
