James Harvey

James joined Alcentra in June 2023 as Executive Director of Communications, and oversees the firm’s strategic communications, PR and social media activity.

James has over 15 years of corporate communications and media relations experience. Prior to joining Alcentra, he spent three years as Communications Director EMEA for global asset manager AllianceBernstein, where he led the firm’s external and internal communications from its London office. Previously, he spent 13 years at specialist communications agency Hume Brophy, most recently as Head of International Financial Services, where he directed global campaigns on behalf of the firm’s major financial, tech and retail clients.

He has a BA in English Literature from University of Sussex.
