Kevin joined Alcentra upon inception in April 2002 as a credit analyst covering the Retail and Food Beverage sectors for around 14 years and is now a Managing Director within the European Liquid Credit Team. He is currently Co-Head of Credit Research, a voting member of the Liquid Credit Investment Committee and also sits on the Private Credit Investment Committee. For the last two years Kevin has represented Alcentra as a mentor on the Cross Company Mentoring Programme run by the 30% Club focusing on increasing the level of women in senior management and executive positions. Kevin also has over six years’ experience sitting on corporate boards, Remuneration Committees and Audit Committees (one of which he chaired for three years).
Prior to joining Alcentra, Kevin was a senior industrial analyst in Barclays Capital Asset Management. Before that, Kevin spent 1.5 years at Fitch, primarily focused on the European leveraged loan market, undertaking credit analysis on both primary and secondary transactions on behalf of CDOs, institutions and banks. He also gained market-leading experience in mezzanine debt and was responsible for the publishing of the first independent research report on European mezzanine loans. Prior to joining Fitch, Kevin worked at NatWest Bank where he gained over ten years credit experience including three and a half years working in NatWest’s head office credit committee function.
